CASHEL RHI AND NANCY

Cashel Rhi raced at Menangle
without getting his feet in a tangle,
he didn’t come first - Christian Troy had a burst
though some doubted the camera angle.

Some said Cashel Rhi was still green,
but in truth ‘twas an Irish Colleen
named Finnigans Nancy who had caught his fancy
and after the race they’d convene.

Did Nancy and Cashy get wed?
I fear not. I have heard it said
he gave up the racing, now endurance pacing
it seems is where his footsteps led.
