That's almost as exciting as heading out after mackerel with my detector ... a Lowrance GPS / Sonar combination. Never struck gold with it either.

I've got an engagement ring out in the paddock somewhere if anyone is passing with their detector! :roll: There's gold in them there paddocks! :lol:

Going back to the story of finding things on shipwrecks - I have a kapok pillow souvenired from the wreck of the "Maheno" on Fraser Island which beached in a cyclone in 1936.

And before you ask - no, I didn't souvenir it in 1936!!! It has been handed down in my husband's family!!
