Anyway thank you as always to those who participated in the last prompts - thanks to my whipper-in Bob for stirring some stumps as well

Let's see what we can maybe inspire with these - Mother's Day is just around the corner and our Mums are in our thoughts I am sure, even if they may have passed on to higher places. So make it schmaltzy, make it nice, but share the love
Here are the prompts:
A mother's arms/eyes
Abscence makes the heart grow fonder
That first/last breath
immaculate conception
no journey too far
laughter, love and light
Get writing my little cherubs

I decided I would do up a little trophy for those who participate in our homework exercise and would award it and showcase an extract of the particular poem on our Facebook page each fortnight. For people to see the poem in full they will need to sign in and check it out here on the Writing Workshop page. The award is just a bit of fun - it carries no kudos with it or prizemoney so don't get too carried away if you win it - and why you may have won it is purely dependent on my whim at the moment or how much you have bribed me.
Apart from the fact that I liked both of these poems - and all the poems submitted were great - our first award winner is Terry - because he actually submitted 2 poems.
