Homework 10.08.15 Sparkling White

Post by alongtimegone » Sat Aug 08, 2015 5:33 pm

If there’s one thing I love it’s a sparkling white;
especially from regions in France.
I’d partake if I could most every night,
but in my house I don’t get the chance.

My wife is determined to see that I don’t
develop cyrer … cirrer … uhh, liver disease.
She rations the grog like it’s war time. Hell!
I’ve been known to get down on my knees.

Life dictates tempret … temperit ... Ahh rats!
Free from extremes behaviour.
And this she espouses night in night out
while telling me she’ll be my saviour.

She says "It’s the best advice you’ll ever get."
Then she flashes those beautiful eyes.
Ha! Eyes that she keeps on the ellcol … alko … damn
grog cupboard . She knows where I keep the supplies.

One night, I admit, when my darling was out,
I drank like the place was in flood.
Some time after imby … imbibe … stuff it
knocking it down, I woke up in a great pool of blood.

So off to the hostipel … hopstitel … shite!
Place where they keep those white robes.
And the doctor smiled as he walked in the room
with this handful of hideous probes.

Well I tell you I wished I’d been wearing brown pants
and I made the decision right then,
to say thank you sweet wife for showing such care
and … I’ll never drink shamp … champ … buggar – white wine again.

G/day Wazza,
Prefer a nice red myself, but am also partial to a dry white.

Good one mate.

Very imaginative, Wazza! Another example of our diverse use of the prompts :)
