Homework 01/03/16

Post by Wendy Seddon » Thu Feb 25, 2016 3:36 pm

...and now for something completely different.

Holes in my pocket and one in my shoe.
End of my wits and alternatives too.
Recession
depression
aggression.
Bright lights of fortune don’t shine upon me,
First one in line but the last one they see.
Frustration
starvation
damnation.
Yet I have blessings, I’ve counted them all -
you to uphold me whenever I fall.
emotion
devotion
in motion
There’s one last thing that I really must do
pass by the florist – red flowers for you.

Different in a good way Owly- it has a vibrance about it - I like it and a good use of the prompts as well

I may not always succeed in making a difference, but I will go to my grave knowing I at least tried.

Really innovative, Wendy. A good one for submission to an open competition for limited line poetry - such as the annual Rabindranath Tagore award for 25 lines or less. It's based in India and has closed for this year - but I'd save it for next year if I were you!

Cheers, Shelley
