HOMEWORK PROMPTS FOR WEEK ENDING 12TH SEPTEMBER 2016

Post by Maureen K Clifford » Wed Aug 31, 2016 10:35 pm

Apologies for the tardiness of the prompts - I forgot  It has been a very busy week in my family, that's my excuse. We have had a new baby, and lost a much loved furbaby - both to the same Mum so joy and sadness at the same time, and a new purchase being frantically worked on against the clock. My son has purchased a trawler - fully decked out for luxury on-board living on which a few running repairs are being done, requiring a very expensive outlay of mooring fees for the shortest time possible.

So perhaps with those things on the back of my mind here are the prompts.

Man proposes but God disposes

Anchors away

Safe Harbour

spit and polish

the sea is his mistress

vodka on the rocks

Let's see what our clever poets can do with these.

I may not always succeed in making a difference, but I will go to my grave knowing I at least tried.
