FLYING HIGH.

O little mozzie flying high
I've fixed you with my murderous eye.
Your whining unrelaxed my sleep
and now I find I have to keep
on scratching like a chimpanzee
to ease some itchy lumps on me.
I've got this can of misty spray,
it's sure to blow your mind away.
It's Tetramethrin; sounds much worse
than CO2 pollution,
and carbon tax won't save you from
the ole Pea Beu solution.
So little mozzie, flying high
you sucked my blood; for that..you die !

I know how you feel Nev,
Mozzies die, I don't cry.
I might cough and sputter from the spray,
But I can't smother, covered does me no good
while they play and stay
waiting for my precious Blood

Never get bothered by Mozzies. The secret is to eat at least two Vegemite sandwiches every day !!!

Now some will just say take Vitamin B but it just does not work the same.

And if one should happen to get a feed at least they go away happy.

Oh No they don't Bob, they keep coming back for more and the ones in Port Broughton SA are so big and black you have to carry a riding crop to give them a sting!

Good fun write Neville - have to confess they don't bother me much and I eat vegemite so there might be truth in that perhaps The plug in mozzie zapper things seem to work as well.

Cheers

Thanks to everyone who took the time to reply and give feedback.
No mozzies out yet Heather, but the magpies are swooping. I tossed up between doing this exercise " flying high ", on mozzies or magpies.

There's no requirement that every foot of a poem must follow the same metre. It may or it may not, according to the expression required. It depends on whether it is designed or a mistake, hopefully the difference is apparent. Anyway I altered it to make a more even metre throughout, see how that reads.

Marty you are sounding just like Neville!

We only have friendly Magpies here Neville and have never had any problem with them.
