Homework 9.4.12 'Imagine'

Okay, I'm cheating a bit. This is one I wrote a little while back, but I thought it was appropriate. Hope you don't mind.
‘Imagine’
Imagine what He went through
on that Friday filled with hate,
when He knew His time was coming
and He prepared to meet His fate.
Imagine what He was feeling,
as the plot against Him unfurled;
no one there beside Him,
as He carried the sins of the world.
Imagine His angst and torment,
as He was falsely accused.
Imagine Him being arrested
and brutally abused.
Imagine His pain and suffering;
mocked, beaten and denied.
Imagine His isolation,
as He prepared to be crucified.
They nailed him to a wooden cross,
a crown of thorns placed on His head.
Imagine what He was thinking,
as His sinless body slowly bled.
Imagine what He was feeling,
as He took His dying breath.
Imagine the crowd around Him
witnessing His death.
He took the penalty for us
upon his bruised, broken flesh;
because of His great love for us,
He has saved us all from death.
Imagine the world without Him,
so much sin, war and strife.
Imagine dying an earthly death
without having eternal life!
