EASTER BUNNIES

Rejoice ! gilt-edged investors
and opulent directors,
the Easter break is near.

It's time to raise the price
of fuel ( to be precise ),
they'll pay up; always do.

Their whinging and their moaning
won't stop the swell of groaning
inflated bank accounts, and

when holidays are over
and we're set up in clover,
we'll drop the price (a bit).

It's better than the comics
more laughs than in the funnies.
We owe it all to April fuels,
those motorist Easter bunnies.





p.s. before you say that the last line is out of metre. Moat-rist is the usual pronunciation.

On ya Neville - you picked it - the Australian motorist is always the bunny come public holiday time. Nearly fell off my perch when my Ute took over $90 to fill

15c is a small amount Marty. But when you consider that they sell thousands if not millions of litres of fuel each week, that small extra translates into a lot of money for retail companies.
In our area they added 20c to 30c in each litre, surprise, surprise just in time for motorists to fill up for a holiday travel .
