WHEN I GET ON STAGE TO RECITE
Oh where, oh where
has my little line gone
oh where, oh where
can it be.
It was there when I stood up
about to recite,
oh where, oh where
can it be.
Oh where, oh where
has my memory gone,
oh where, oh where can it be.
With it's hair gone white
and it's wrinkly neck
oh where, oh where
can it be.

Don't stand up Neville or you will never find it - your light will go off.
Cheers

Neville I think everyone would be able to relate to this, I'm pretty sure it happens to everyone at some stage. There's probably a worse feeling somewhere in the world, but when it is happening, you don't think so!

It's True
I tell yah
They're a mongrel, as I stand before you
I cough and splutter, and nearly spew
Looking at your faces, looking up at me
I’m a goner and my nerves, are not to be
Bill the old battler

Thanks for the replies everyone, I suppose you already see it, but I took the form from the old song " O where O where has my little dog gone "
I'm trying to find new forms for bush poetry apart from the ubiquitous de dum de dum de dum de dum of the iambic ballad form.
