Watch it Pacey.... ;) :D

Very well put Marty. What am I saying !!!! No really, it was well put and I think that is the way to go.
I put things that are try-out stuff, no special expectations to see what the readers make of it.
And I support what you say about Maureen's effort, not only does Maureen give thought to some monthly project but she follows them up and gives a word of encouragement. It's a valuable part of our development I think, to try out with no great expectations of a competition winner or masterpiece and an opportunity to discuss issues of writing. I wish more would have a go at it.

Good on you Maureen. I'd love to see the tramping and reciting routine and the poor cowering mutts.

Thank you Marty and Neville - I appreciate your appreciation

Neville my girls never cower - not to me anyway those days are long gone for both of them, the occasional stick waved around is enough to haul them into gear if needed - not that it often is - they just to tend to look at me with a concerned face thinking OMG she is losing it. :o

I could give out virtual gold stars each fortnight if you think it would help, but if others could try to add the encouraging comment to work it would be good - because whilst spelling and punkchewasian I am pretty good at and syllable count I can handle - the stressed and unstressed thingy and metre are areas I try to not go. Others though are wizards at that - so between the lot of us we tend to do a pretty good job overall but would hate to see it all land on the shoulders of just one or two all the time.

Discussion is always good anyway so the more of it there is the better I would be thinking.

Let those who can do - is a motto I tend to run with.

Cheers

Maureen

oye,

That virtual gold star bit was my idea somewhere else. I even gave a virtual DPA now and again. (I won't explain)

But go ahead, it is a good idea to encourage people and we all love to win, don't we. I had better get my act together, I have been doing too much 'other stuff' lately. And I must say, Maureen, you deserve a big one (VGS) for all your efforts in keeping the workshop area alive. I think I would prefer less topic material, rather then more, though.
