I think it is sad that you "lump" all athletes as dope cheats. Do you have any idea how much effort is put in to becoming an Olympian!? If you do I apologise in advance but I am sure that it certainly does not happen overnight and I would think that 4th in the World is absolutely no disgrace.
To our Aussie Olympic team . Thank you for your efforts in putting our Country on the World Stage .

WOW - that's a list and a half - had no idea it was that bad - even worse than I thought Marty
It is such a shame when something so magnificent as the games that brings nations together has such a taint. As you say a huge amount of money is expended on them and no doubt perhaps it could well be put to use to find cures for disease and/or other good works, but personally I think the games do foster good relationships between countries and that can't be a bad thing, and not all bad.
The games were originally held in honor of Zeus, king of the Olympians, and athletes - males only back then competed naked.
Pithy poem and you were quick off the mark - quite the poetic athlete Marty
Cheers

You made the point Marty
I never thought that you meant every athlete every time.
As I have said I don't follow athletic competitions but I thought that the poem was well done.
