Re: Unrhymed ?????

Post by David Campbell » Mon Mar 04, 2013 10:07 am

Nobody's forcing anyone to write unrhymed verse, Marty. But Maureen chose haiku as the basis for the short form and, as haiku is not usually rhymed, that had to be an option. Maureen made hers rhyme, and so did I.

I'm not a big fan of haiku, but this still proved a very useful exercise in that it concentrates on concise imagery. That has to be worthwhile for any style of writing. I guess you've got two choices...either have a go and make it rhyme or give it a miss!

Cheers
David

Lost one plot , if found please return to Maureen
That's pretty good Haiku Marty . . . but ya gotta set it out like:

Rhymed or unrhymed there
is no need for this exer-
cise, for rhyme. Lost: one

plot if found please re-
turn to Maureen. I thought this
site was all about

the rhyme, isn't it
what sets bush poetry a
part from other stuff
