Here we go - I'll kick it off with one close to home and our wonderful mayor does his bit as well with Tulls the Teddy

COLD CHARITY

In Ipswich city nights are cold,
a blanket’s worth its weight in gold
for those who sleep rough on the streets
with none who care and none who greet,
these people far outside the fold.

They are forgotten – young and old
and them no politician polled,
though they would love to share some heat
in Ipswich city.

They share emotions uncontrolled
with Rosie’s helpers they unfold.
The food van brings hot soup and meat,
a friendly smile, warm socks for feet.
A short respite from world turned cold -
in Ipswich city.

.08 degrees the other night, but Stanthorpe was trying hard to snow. It's all relevant I guess.

Your rondeau sounds good Maureen. I didn't know that In Flanders Fields was a rondeau. It's one of those poems that show how great power of expression can come in a small work, big is not necessarily better.
I have heard it recited many times at the ANZAC Day services.
I think rondeau is a good choice for homework. :)
