It scurries around
in and out of nooks and crannies
doing the dirty work
sneaking,
surprising,
scaring.
Following its daily schedule.

It thinks it has lured the prize
into its clutches
after a delayed start
but
it will discover
the error.

You don’t have to lift a finger
but you might want to raise a cheer
it’s the third game of the Origin
and there ain’t no cockies here.
