HOMEWORK PROMPTS FOR W/E 16TH JUNE
Posted: Sun Jun 01, 2014 1:17 pm
Considering the last fortnights homework was not the most popular choice I was delighted with how many of you had a go at it and posted a few on our facebook page as well where they were quite well received. It's all about pushing boundaries, and stretching ourselves a little as poets. So to all who participated thank you and well done - there were some pretty nice Haiku styled verses that came from it and I had fun setting them up on photos for you which I hope you agree adds an extra element to your words.
So this fortnights challenge is a little different - let's see how you go with it. I'm posting a day early as tomorrow I will have hopefully a tradie of some description here - Yes I am the eternal optimist
or incredibly naieve - take your pick - I actually still believe people's promises
Here you go - wrap your tonsils around this lot and let us see what you can come up with.
Any subject. A verse in iambic with five stresses to the line. One easy way to remember that this kind of foot is called an “iamb” is to think of the words “I am.” If you were to say the words “I am” over and over, they would be in iambic.
