Hwork w/e 16/6/14 - TRYING

Post by Maureen K Clifford » Mon Jun 02, 2014 8:20 am

here's my go at it....not earth shattering but then didn't spend hours agonizing over it either

Today I thought that I might try my hand
at writing poetry to suit the mix
set out to test poetry skills I had,
can’t be too hard I thought, can’t be too bad .
Did I succeed or am I in a fix?
Perhaps the subject matter is to bland.
No worries though it’s just an exercise
not Shakespeare or Paterson I surmise.

I may not always succeed in making a difference, but I will go to my grave knowing I at least tried.

True artists suffer for their art Maureen...don't they ;) :)

.
The purpose in life is to have fun.
After you grasp that everything else seems insignificant !!!
