CURRY PIES

What a feast for which to die;
beefy, spicy, curry pie.
Chunky, crusty,
tasty, lusty;
sure to charm and satisfy.

Shish kebabs or chicken fried ?
burgers ( chips piled on the side ).
Pooey, fooey,
chewy, spewy;
junk food where the taste has died.

Crunch the golden flaky pastry,
slurp the peppered pungent gravy;
meaty, hearty,
chilli tingly;
curry pies rule defin-ately.

Good one Nev . . . shades of the chorus to Wombat Stew (by Marcia K Vaughan) which is a favourite of my kids.

:D

Thanks Ron. I believe turmeric is very therapeutic. ;)

Thanks Heather. I purposely misspelled "definitely" to get in the word "ate". Bit of a forced thing, but Ogden Nash did it. :)

Thanks Marty I don't know Wombat Stew. When I read to my children in the 70s, Cat in the Hat and Where The Wild Things Are , were the literature for kids. ;)

Now I'm hungry Neville - nothing like a good pie - nothing like an awful one either :(

Delighted you had a shot under the circumstances :roll: ;)
