Downsizing

One of life’s most satisfying pleasures
Collecting a wealth of treasures,
Comes a time though for hardened …downsizing
And there ’tis hardly surprising;
Memories, from when they were bush babies!
Are items on the pile of ‘maybes’.

But grown now with adapted superbia,
From the heart of suburbia,
So many things, once deemed worth a fortune,
Are sorted then, in order for attune,
And are assessed now as, just bric a brac
As sentiment gets clouded... looking back!

The question arises Ron, if we haven't used things for years, why did we need to get them in the first place. :lol:

So true Nev, I guess we thought we needed those things in the days when the world was wider! :)

As we get older I think we realize that we don't need 'stuff' . It's amazing how it accumulates - I like your Poem Ron :D Good use of the prompts.
