HOMEWORK PROMPTS FOR WEEK ENDING OCTOBER 6TH 2014

We had a great response to our last writing workshop with subjects many and varied - from Possums to Political - that's a pretty wide range in any one's imagination, and the great responses to the 'parody' challenge certainly gained some interest for the ABPA site - Every now and then I share across to our Facebook site work that has come into the Writing Workshops and it is always well received but the response to 'Said Hockey J" was exceptional. It didn't go viral but 23 people shared it . Goes to prove that good old Aussie humour never goes out of style. Thank you to all of our poets who participated so cleverly to our challenge.
People have been heard to say that our Bush Poetry is 'old hat' and that we only write about horses, cows and things that aren't relevant to Aussies today. Of course we know that is incorrect but lets go for a modern slant and see what we can do with these. Some people will probably still not get it but today our mates in the bush are equally as reliant as their city cousins on modern technology and the use of computers, the internet and social media plays a major part to many farming families today.
So lets us see who can write about technology and the bush - or your take on it using these prompts. Use one or use them all. We have freedom of choice in this country
PROMPTS:
In the cloud
Slow connections
Spaghetti Junction
there's a mouse in the house
Who is Dot Com?
my search engine is missing
Have fun, get those brains into gear and fingers hitting the keys and surprise us all.
