White Lillies

Changed my mind Maureen. Often I wish I could change it for someone else's.
Twelve white lilies, lonely, arrayed on cloth of red;
an organ’s tonal majesty grieving overhead.
Eyes now dry; the spilling done; vacant, silent, cold;
she watches twelve white lillies, glide quietly through the fold.

Lilies conjure up sadness, and that shines through here.
And you only needed a few words to express it - well done Wazza.

Gee you capture a lot in those few lines Wazza - nicely done if somewhat sad - I like your - eyes now dry, the spilling done that's beautiful. I like your poem

Short and to the point...nothing more was needed to convey your message. Well done.

It is not easy to capture such image and feeling in only four lines Wazza but you have really nailed it here. Your poem is lovely.
