Homework we13/7/15

Post by Wendy Seddon » Tue Jul 07, 2015 12:06 pm

Why I am who I am.

Was it a trick of the light or did I see my mother’s face look back at me.
Did I look at my hands and see hers there, did I draw my comb through her fair hair.
Why do I say things with her voice, choose what would have been her choice.
The fertile flood plains of my mind, soak up her ways so just and kind
to pass them to my own sweet girls, sharing all her wisest pearls.
Awareness wakens with her kiss, I am me because of this.
If the walls could talk they’d tell me true, that Mum I’m but another you.

Very true Wendy.

I see three people in my mirror, Mother, father and me. It's not a trick of the light. ;) :)

Good one Wendy - it's scary when we see our Mum's looking back at us from our mirrors isn't it?   Still if we can take their good points and pass them on to our own kids it is not all bad. I like what you did with the prompts - thinking outside the square.

Nice one Wendy. It's good to see different takes on the prompts.

Great idea Wendy - quite a different take, and nicely done

I enjoyed that Wendy - and it's so true!

Generally speaking I am more like my Dad than my Mum, but it's scary when I make some remark to my husband and he answers, "Yes, Beryl!" (That's Mum's name).

Cheers, Shelley
