Homework 27/7 (for Bob): Riotous Ringers

Post by David Campbell » Tue Jul 21, 2015 1:58 pm

Riotous Ringers

I’m a rampant campanologist
who’s seeing a psychologist,
for I’m really a biologist,
a qualified ecologist,
an apprentice entomologist,
and part-time archaeologist.

BUT

Those riotous ringers are passionate swingers
on ropes, and the thrill has me hooked!
I’m up in that tower for hour after hour…
my normal vocation is cooked!

SO

I’m obsessed with campanology,
and offer no apology
for deserting all biology,
retreating from ecology,
disregarding entomology,
and dumping archaeology.

FOR

With riotous ringing and passionate swinging
your heart will forever be young,
and you’ll stay in that tower for hour after hour,
as long as those bells must be rung!

I should have seen that one coming - top marks for thinking outside of the square (belltower) David. ;) I like the rhyming scheme you used - it works well with this piece.

What! So Bob didn't have campanology in mind when he suggested this topic? Well, I'll be wicked-hornswoggled! I could have sworn Heather told me that whenever Bob talked about fishing it was code for bell-ringing. Back to the drawing board!

Cheers

I just saw this private sale advert online and couldn't resist sharing ...

Selling simply because just not needed, 3 seater black futon, material is pealing in certain areas.

Even the futons are into it, David!!

She said that her futon was pealing
in areas - it was revealing!
It was clear as a bell
she was wanting to sell!
Will bad spelling prevent her from dealing?

Ouch - what was that I said about the Muse being on holidays??? Look what you've started, Bob!

See it is easy to write if you use your imagination. Only a couple of days to get your efforts is.
The purpose in life is to have fun.
After you grasp that everything else seems insignificant !!!

Match her up with all the people selling those 'chest of draws' Shelley - they have something in common  and it's not artistic .

Brilliant David - so clever as always. Wish I'd thought of that!
