CHOICES ... Maureen Clifford © The #ScribblyBark Poet

Oh it really bugs me when I see it's mutton dressed as lamb
on the shelves at supermarkets - this is Aussie's biggest scam,
and the chooks marked as organic - once again far from the truth
fur and feathers for the table, not as God intended. Struth!

Walking through the mall on Sunday, picking out veggies with care
from the local Farmer's Market, every man and his dog there.
Gaudy, dressed in gay apparel, flaunting it .... well that's no sin,
heard an old bloke say behind me " Gawd, look what the cat dragged in."

Bought some tickets from a seller raising funds for charity,
had a chat and shared a giggle, day made brighter just 'cause he
winked at me and called me sweetheart with no desire to embarrass
with his banter, promised me the chance to spend April in Paris.

Life's too short for dull and gloomy. Life's too precious to store hate.
Every day we wake a blessing's handed to us on a plate.
Share a little sunshine daily, smile's are free - let good prevail.
Avoid those folks unkind and surly who choose the path of epic fail.

Yes indeed Maureen - growing old is compulsory, but growing up is entirely optional !!

so true Shelley - we should never be too old to enjoy a bit of fun or a giggle.

Just waking up next morning takes a bit of beating Maureen.

I agree about the million rip-off waiting for unwary shoppers

You used the prompts well.
