Weather
They say the climates changing
and ya know that makes me frown.
I've found it hard to fathom
when the rain comes pouring down.
The wind blows in the dry times
so hard it makes you swear.
The dust and willy willys
swirl about there in the air.
There is nothing can define it
when the drought is at last broke.
The rain comes down in bucket loads
and drapes like a sodden cloak.
The brawling of a sparrow
echo's from a backyard tree.
Torn fabrics hang in windows
where the curtains used to be.
Umbrellas sprout like mushrooms
as workers brave the city street.
Rain can not stop their progress
or the tramp of bustling feet.
Left over flags. balloons and bunting
are now dancing in the wind.
There is no way to tame it
or it's actions to rescind.
So can we call it climate change
and is it sent to test our tether.
I'd rather just enjoy it all
to me it's just the weather.
