Sorry I've been a bit quiet lately, Maureen - just couldn't get a handle on the last set of prompts (my fault, not yours!)

Anyway, I've gone down a fairly traditional track with the current suggestions ...

Sunday Morning Madness
(c) Shelley Hansen 15/3/17 (the Ides of March - RIP Juli !! )

The Sunday morning madness of the tent and car boot sale
has proved to be a recipe that’s rarely bound to fail.
This bargain hunt that beats the shops attracts a special bunch
of buyers, sellers, hangers-on – from sunrise through to lunch.

The tyre-kickers dawdle, having no intent to buy,
they block the view of others, causing angry words to fly.
Some haggle for a cheaper price on any bric-a-brac
while others load their cars with goods – and keep on coming back.

Aroma of fresh croissants served with coffee draws a crowd,
a local country singer belts “Jolene” (it’s rather loud!)
There’s feather earrings, leather belts, and cold cream for your face,
with everything that’s second-hand displayed in pride of place.

So solve your storage nightmares, and reserve yourself a spot
to sell off at a profit the unwanted stuff you’ve got
Then, after folk have looked at yours – you go and do the same
and chase the sale to go back home with more than when you came!
