Who Am I
This in not homework - Not this lot anyway.
I mentioned to Wendy that I had once written a silly little poem along similar lines as her one - well I think it's similar?
I didn't want to mess up her post by adding this, so I've put it here - I'm sure some of you would have seen this before.
As already mentioned, it's not as good as your one Wendy, but quite quirky I reckon.

WHO AM I
Just who am I you may well ask?
Who hides behind this facial mask?
Is there a bloke you cannot see,
quite different but looks like me?
Which one of me can you see now?
Do I appear to change somehow?
Perhaps I’m one, yet seem like two,
am I the bloke you thought you knew?
I’m two in one or maybe three,
But who is who and which ones me?
I’m always here but seldom seen,
I’m just a bloke who might have been.

Re: Who Am I
Yes, it is similar indeed Terry - but certainly not silly. This theme carries such a strong truth, and many people have written along such lines - for example, Billy Joel comes immediately to mind, in his song 'The Stranger'. People see different versions of us a different times; even close friends, if we are not around them all the time - We are complex creatures, after all.

Re: Who Am I
Not silly Terry at all!
On the contrary....it's a more 'blokey' way of seeing it.
Fellas would relate to your way of putting it better than my version.

Thanks Catherine, Wendy & Maureen.
As Wendy said, it can be fun to just write what first comes to mind sometimes,
and let our inner thoughts escape once in a while.
Cheers Terry

Re: Who Am I
Are you real, Terry, or just a figment of my imagination??
Really like your take on this subject.

I think you know very well who you are Terry.
That's why you keep that old gear.

Including my old Land-cruiser Neville in a forlorn hope that i will soon be able to start looking for gold again - I'm almost ready to head of again - I think - well I live in hope anyway.

Re: Who Am I
Never give up on the dream Terry - my old Dad always said if it is meant to be it will happen, and I have so often found that to be the case exactly.
