My apologies everyone for the tardiness of these prompts - life just got in the way, but I am truly sorry for the unreliability.

Old ways of life are nearly gone
Their self respect expended
Heed a poets sound advice
Let us battle without surcease
they guzzle at the bar all night
he holds no dreams of fortunes vast
