G'day Terry,
If it 'got away on you a bit', it was to the benefit of the poem, that's for sure! Well written and I really like the excellent rhyming you have used.
So true for many of us, having many genuine mates over the years, but there is the one real soulmate that has stuck with us through thick and thin! And you have summed that up nicely, well done mate.
Cheers
Ron.

Thanks Ron
What I meant, I hadn’t planned for this to be so long but had to keep going to at least have a hint of Maureen’s prompts.
Val prospected fulltime with me for about 10 years once the kids had grown up, and they were the most enjoyable years of prospecting for me. We both loved the remoteness and the solitude.

Excellent poem, Terry! So descriptive and you really take us there. Lovely personal touch as well - Competition worthy in my humble opinion!

Thanks Catherine

Might be worth doing a bit more to it and perhaps putting some finishing touches to it.

Bloody brilliant Terry. Every verse a tale in itself and the rhyme scheme was just as good. I absolutely loved it.

I need say nothing other than that you were blessed Terry, as was Val. Synchronicity can heighten our sense of connection to others and to the world around us, and from all the wonderful words you have shared over the years I think you two soulmates have found it.
