Happy Christmas to All

Post by worddancer » Sun Dec 18, 2011 5:02 pm

Greetings to all and everyone,

What are we doing on these December nights?
We’re checking our lists.
The presents are wrapped, with ribbons tied tight
Is anyone missed?

The parcels are hidden out of your sight,
So don’t strain your eyes,
If you look for them, in day or starlight
You’ll spoil the surprise!

The tree holds the tinsel and baubles bright,
Each cane has a bow,
The angel’s on top of the highest height
With bright lights below.

Fruit for the cake and pudding is soaking
In brandy and rum
Cards are written and ready for posting
To you, this one’s come

The love we share at Christmas each year,
Given so long ago,
Is strengthened as the Day draws near,
Share it, with all who you know.

Stay happy well and dry if you can, but raise a glass to all who visit here,
I post your Christmas card here because the Postie can't read my invisible virtual writing!

Joy to you all,

Eliza and all they other names she goes by!!  :P

Lovely Eliza - and I hope you had a wonderful christmas and new year!!
Your words bring forth wonderful images of christmas, but I have to admit to not being very organised into doing all those things for several years!!

Each year, I say I am going to do the whole 'christmas' routine, but work gets in the way, and it doesn't happen!!! Hopefully things will change now we have a little grandy to build new traditions with.
However, the thing that really makes my christmas is having my family home, and spending some time together.

All the best for the coming year - may it be filled with love and happiness.

Thank you Irene,

Sometimes it is difficult to keep up the traditions of family when members are far apart.
Whether it be lifestyles or life's decisions the feeling always come from the heart.

All the best to you too.
