That's true of some places Heather. There are countries where poets go to gaol for their poetry. In Australia, we won't go to gaol, just be ignored. And the place sleeps on.

OK, You asked for it Neville,

I'll post my most recent. It was written in response to our weekly 'homework' topic. The topic is 'In My Heart'. I have been wanting to write this poem ever since I began writing but the 'vehicle' didn't arrive til now. When it did I simply sat and let it write itself. There were a few hickups to 'fix' the next day. Which included dropping one complete stanza, tickling up the rhyme and checking the grammar. It is what it is and is not competition material so I will post it.
