I did a course many years ago called

The Seven Basic Habits Of Highly Successful People

It spoke of how your mind gets set from a very early age I think they called them Paradigms ?

As Heather said ( she is just soooooo smart )

"If you enjoy the words that is all that matters,"

And I do so all is well in the world.

Paradigms , p a r a d i g m s. It's only a pretentious word invented by eggheaded academics Bob, so don't worry about it. :geek: ;)

G'day all,

I have just read (again) Manfred's post and the only bit that gets up my nose is the stanza that has too many lines or more correctly, more lines than the others.

Zondrae you may have lived in the bush through necessity but I honestly believe you never under stood the real outback. you have your religion and so there are also many other religions.
The aborigines have their beliefs which are really an other different form of religion.
Manfred I believe has done a good job trying explain it the way he does.
Does it matter if there are odd lines in it. No it does not it is the word picture that tells the story.

Bill, Manfred asked for comments. It didn't strike me that Zondrae was criticising the content of the poem or anyone's religion or beliefs. She just doesn't like the extra lines in one stanza. That is her comment on the structure of the poem.... :)

Thanks Heather

Yes, I was merely commenting on the structure of the poem.

Bill, I have lived among Bunjulung people and worked as a teachers aid in a school which was 3/4 Murrie children. These children stole my heart and the way some of them were treated by their parents was criminal.
I have a deep respect for the true 'people' who live a tribal life away from the city. However I consider the 'Redfern gang' be no better or worse than any other drunken hoons. As for not understanding country life, I have really been there and done that.
