and in case you were wondering, the main event (the picking up the brand) is a true story. All the rest is make believe. My son was almost five when he went with Wayne to watch the processing of the calves that day. Most of the little boys I have known love playing with fire. Adam touched the hot end of the branding iron and was unceremoniously dumped in the tank. Quick action resulted in no scarring.
I still have a couple of real life events that I must write about.
I add my congratulations to all our mates who are included in this issue of The Bronze Swagman. I'm getting quite a collection of them. I have not finished reading all of the poems but I'm hanging in there and should get through in a week or two. If only you could 'buy time' on ebay or from itunes.
