He was a tall skinny quiet man,
While she was short and smiled often.
At their wedding ceremony
They exchanged their vows, then,
To his wife he said these words.


Walk not behind me, for we are both equal.
Walk not in front, for nether shall be a leader.
So please, hold my hand and walk beside me,
For together our lives shall be as one,
For never divided shall we be parted


Some years later a little voice said these words.

Walk not behind me, for I do not know the way
Nor walk before me, your steps are longer than mine
But walk beside me, and hold my hand,
For we have a long way to go.
