Sorry Dave, I don't quite understand, what is the event that you have been chosen for.

G'day Neville, this is part of a message I received from Candice......."I need 30 or more poems from 30 or more poets ( the more the merrier ) for an art show.... the artists will be picking poems to create an artwork for. This is time sensitive....send no more than one poem.....try to have... it lean toward the visual with imagery real or surreal for a show within a show concept for the New West Artists (NWA) May 4,5,6 show featuring poems that have been turned into pictures.. DEADLINE Feb 26th, 2012.

Hope this helps mate, so what this means is an Aussie Bush poem will be weaved within matching pictures to be displayed May 4-31, 2012 Exhibition at The River Market, City Of New Westminster, BC CANADA .

Ah, I get it. What a good idea. Goodonya Dave. There was a similar event once at Newcastle Art Gallery but it was more exclusive, the paintings which were done by well established panters were first hung, then some poets were invited to make a poem relating to each work. No bush poems in there I'm afraid.

There is a also a comp held at Tenterfield around the same time as the Oracles of The Bush, it is called Brush with Verse and invites people to submit both art works and poem to go with it. Again bush poets are unlikely to get any gongs there. I had a go once.
The winner was a painting of a male figure who had a look on his face like he had just sat on a tack and the peom with it was a sort of Zen-angst Haiku.

Interesting to see how Old Life Dreams is "visualised".
