Hi from Billy Ruth
Hi from Billy Ruth
Hi I've been writing and reciting my own poetry for a number of year's, I work as a farm manager in nth east vic and have always been involved in horses and cattle, my early days were mainly reciting my poems around camp fires in the bush, and I also had a go at tamworth a few years ago and failed, but I learnt a lot from the experience.
I have since won the don kneebone poetry award at the annual cattlemans get together and also yhe bush minstrel award at the same event, I do plan on publishing a book at some stage in the future

Big welcome from me and I can see you have already dived right on it - Good on you - that's the way. You'll find us a pretty friendly mob here - and there's always a bit of chiaking going on but all in good fun and it is probably one of the few forums where the language is actually 'clean' and the comments considered. Bad behaviour sees us put in the naughty corner by our Purple Moderator Heather and trust me you don't want to mess with her
Look forward to seeing more from you.

Re: Hi from Billy Ruth
Billy go into whatever program you use to save your photos - Right click onto the photo and a list will come up - click on 'open with' and indicate which one you want I use Microsoft Office Picture Manager which is easy to use but there are other options there. Go to 'Edit pictures' at the top of the screen then click onto 'resize pictures' on the drop down box that comes up on the rhs of the screen - because you are wanting to use your piccie as your avatar reduce it down to a small size then save it and you should be right.
Before you do any of this though make a copy of the picture you want to use and do the alteration/resize to the copied photo thus retaining the original photo in its original size.
