The State Library of QLD and BWF has partnered with Australian Poetry (AP) to offer a local Brisbane poet the opportunity of a six-month residency at the State Library Cafe and will be launched at the BWF on 8 September as part of the BWF program.
Local Brisbane poets are invited to submit the following information for consideration:
All contact details
A statement outlining why you would like to be the Café Poet as part of the BWF
A statement regarding a personal objective or what you would like to achieve during the six-month residency
A statement regarding a public objective to benefit others, such as being prepared to give a reading at the end of the residency or presenting a workshop, etc.
Five sample poems
The deadline for submissions is Friday 26 August 2011.
