The 2nd edition of the new poetry magazine for The Australia Times has just gone on line
http://www.theaustraliatimes.com.au/ema ... ssue2/#p=1
You will see work in there from some of our own ABPA members - Ross, Neville plus a collaborative poem we did on the ABPA site some time back as well as some clips from Muzza and Greg North. Issues 3,4 and 5 have even more of our bush poetry inside its pages
Hope you like it
Cheers
Maureen

Very good Maureen

I am still coming to terms with on-line things, the ole paper mag is still my instinctive choice. But I heard a newspaper bloke on Q&A to-day say that people don't read papers anymore, it's social media on the net. I'm becoming redundant.
I was interested to see something by Ross Magnay. Ross appears on the forum now and again but we don't see much of his poetry.

No we don't but it is a ripper of a poem -I laughed when I read it and so wanted to use it. I hate bloody cockies gates.
Sadly newspapers are becoming obselete my nehew will be out of work come the new year - he works for a newspaper and has done so since he left school over 15 years ago - they are closing down.

Just received this note back from Mike Moutoux a cowboy poet from New Mexico whose work I will shortly be featuring - though you might be interested Ross.
Maureen,
howdy!
I did check it out when I had bit of time--got as far as "Cockie's Gate". We call them 'Texas gates" but they operate exactly the same. They are cursed in both countries I'm sure. The rhyme pattern and meter were unusual and clever. The entire magazine appears very slick and well done.
There are a couple of bush poets who come to our gatherings here. I've heard them both and each is quite good. I have no idea how they afford the air fare. (I'm presuming one of these was Carol Heuchen)
Who was the other - I probably should know but don't. Glenny or Manfred perhaps.

G'day Maureen,
I confess I have yet to 'pop in' to read your mag.
However, I wondered if you have a theme for each issue.
My excuse for not being around lately is that we have had a rather tragic few weeks in our family I will give it its own thread. Keep up the good work.
