ABPA - Australian Bush Poets Association

IMPORTANT AGM NOTICE

REMINDER all positions will be declared vacant at the AGM.

Nominations for the ABPA committee and executive must be postmarked no later than Wednesday 15th January 2014 (one week before the AGM)

To date, no nominations have been received for the executive (President, Treasurer and Secretary).

If we cannot form an Executive, this would place our association in danger of 'winding up'.

We seem to be in danger of becoming a 'Little Red Hen' Association. Everyone want Comps, trophies, accolades and cash as long as someone else does all the organising. Seems the most capable candidates woke up to this earlier.

After 20 years, it really is a pity that we have come to this as an Association.

Thanks for all your hard work Manfred, and good luck finally finding some time to devote to your own Poetry Performances and direction.

Your quite true Neil, this association must go on. we need all the support we can get. there is more to bush poetry than comps and cash. I'd been writing bush poetry long before the A.B.P.A. became an association ( no i wouldn't like to see all this hard work fold up)
