There used to be a similar sign out on Cement Mills Road outside of Warwick that said - slow down - sheep camp on road After travelling this road many times with my ex as we went between his two properties I made the comment that they should take the sign down as I had never seen a sheep camp anywhere along the road in two years and why would shearers camp alongside the road anyway - wouldn't they stay out at the property?

This was of course in the early days before I had a handle on being a graziers assistant

Our next door neighbour had one that read - slow down - dangerous lambs on road I told her many times that she needed to put a full stop after dangerous and then begin a new sentence but she took not a bit of notice. I often wonder if people really did think her lambies were perhaps armed with guns. Oh no that was cows with guns wasn't it.

The cows were surrounded, they waited and prayed
They mooed their last moos,
They chewed their last hay
Cows out-gunned

The order was given, turn cows to Whoppers
Enforced by the might of ten thousand coppers
But on the horizon, surrounding the shoppers
Came the deafening roar, of chickens, in choppers!

We will fight for bovine freedom
And hold our large heads high
We will run free with the buffalo, or die
Cows with guns
