A PANTOUM ..........GOLDEN DAYS .. © Maureen Clifford
The warmth of summer sunlight filters through the trees,
and daffodils shyly emerge to gaily herald spring.
A nest of magpie chicks above enjoy a gentle breeze.
The Mother magpie flutters, eating insects on the wing.
And daffodils shyly emerge to gaily herald spring,
their golden petals reaching out to light.
The Mother magpie flutters, eating insects on the wing.
A fully laden honey bee passes by in flight
Their golden petals reaching out to light
they feel the gentle touch of bees embrace.
A fully laden honey bee passes by in flight,
gathering pollen from the blossoms peachy face.
They feel the gentle touch of bees embrace.
Their golden nectar safe enclosed in fragile pollen sacs.
Gathering pollen from the blossoms peachy face
they prepare to fly the long hot journey back.
Their golden nectar safe enclosed in fragile pollen sacs.
Above a nest of magpie chicks enjoy a gentle breeze.
Nature works in perfect harmony, for her no looking back.
The warmth of summer sunlight filters through the trees.

This is so lovely, Maureen.
I really think the Pantoum structure and style lends itself to "pastoral" type poems and descriptions of the natural world.
Cheers

Yes that is beautiful Maureen, some great lines there! I really enjoyed it.
And once again very clever with the pantoum line structure.
Cheers
