CONFESSIONS OF A SERIAL CROSS THREADER

Post by Jeff Thorpe » Wed Jun 13, 2012 4:30 pm

A true story

CONFESSIONS OF A SERIAL CROSS THREADER

Some can thread things in their sleep, but I’m not one of those,
anything to do with threads has me on my toes
and usually the exercise causes trouble and strife
seems it’s an affliction I’ve had all my life.

Nuts on bolts, screw cap lids, hoses fixed to taps,
I’m just like Columbus, sailing without maps,
however, good old Christopher eventually found land
while I can cross thread easily with my left or right hand.

Zip fasteners are another item where I have some form,
my skill in handling these has never been the norm.
Jackets, back packs, sleeping bags, all of these I’ve had
zips that stick or clog up, some minor but most bad.

Nails and hammers, sanders, grinders, every type of saw,
their use creates a classic case of fabled Murphy’s Law.
Really though, those implements tell a another story,
maybe best to call a halt because that could get gory.

'onya Jeff.

In tradies parlance - it sometimes can be difficult to know the difference between male and female fittings.

Is that also a problem for you ?

Jim.
