The truth of the matter
I was working in the garden,
like a naive, that was me.
And the sweat and I was partin,
for it was leaving me real free.
An the fly’s, were flaming lazy,
when they landed on my back.
Cause me shirt became quite crazy,
with its colour now fly black,
And the sun was quite relentless,
shinning bright an rather hard.
And it seems it couldn’t care less,
as I worked out in the yard.

Good one Bill and it rhymes -you are a clever possum.
Hate those lazy flies that hitch a ride on your shirt - no matter how good your flyscreens this is how they sneak in, so they can then annoy you inside as well as out.
I think you have a typo on native. though perhaps you were just working like a white fella
Cheers

What are you talking about Bill, it's snowing down in Queanbeyan these days, the flies have all gone north for the winter
Well done on the rhyme and meter Bill.
Maureen, I assumed that Bill might have meant to write navvy, an old word for a labourer.
