G/day Stephen,
A timely reminder to us all, I have a couple of friends going through much the same as You.
I was (so far) lucky, I had a very enlarged but benign prostate while still reasonably young. I had the usual op for this condition and have had no further problems and everything continued to function, mind you I don't get the PSA test as often as I should, my Doctor's a bit slack and so am I.
I'm glad everything has worked out ok.
Terry

Re: Check Your PSA Today!
Again, Marty, you make a good point. There is a lot of controversy over PSA testing - and somebody in my position is in no position to be impartial. It seems to partly be a question of quality of life vs. quantity of life, and partly a question of quantity of life vs. financial cost. I don't how you weigh these things up. From where I stand, the quality of life would have to be extremely poor, or the financial cost extremely high, to win out.

Not wrong Stephen. As per my other post if it keeps me around a while longer don't worry about the cost.
