Re: Camping No More
And that, friend Stephen, is the sort of thing that drove me to give up camping years ago.

You mean you can't get your sky hooks to grip either, Mal?

Re: Camping No More
My Country (Comfort)
The love of smoke and canvas
of red and gritty eyes,
of chopping wood and kindling
and splinters in your thighs;
The love of green brown tarps,
flooding streams and violent skies,
I know but cannot share it,
my love is otherwise.
I love a 5 star Country
Comfort with sweeping views,
and silent air conditioning,
and giant T V’s and news.
I love her cable channels,
I love her complimentary tea,
her restaurant and valets -
The big motel for me!
Sorry Dorothea.

You'll be fine Stephen,
Now where did you leave that left handed screwdriver I loaned you and the that big tin of striped paint.
I'm sure you have seen the two Ronnies do the 'Four Candles' routine.
Oh I do love the English language.

Re: Camping No More
I've got nothing against a TV, Mal, as long as nobody turns it on, and a motel is a good place to be in a thunderstorm.
Yes, Zondrae, should be another couple of poems there...
