Went both ways in my book Marty you should learn to open the other eye.

I assume have obviously never played the game so I would not expect you to understand why they call it mate against mate.

They gave as good as they got.

May the best team win, so long as it is the best team.

The final whistle's blown
The moment cane toads fear;
That look in every blue blood eye;
A look of of total...cheer . :o

State Of origin Two

When Gallen led the Blues out
the crowd went off their face.
I thought we need to take them out
or we won’t be in the race.

Then Thurston took the penalty
I yelled no we need the try.
but when he kicked the second
I thought I was gonna cry.

The Blues they had their chances
but the defence was like a wall.
Then Gallen got up Reynolds
cause he tapped that bloody ball.

Gallen knows that this is Origin
and each point is coated gold.
when the half time whistle sounded
Queensland had a strangle hold.

The second half was different
the game just seemed to flow.
Neither team gained an advantage
then Sam Thaiday had a go.

Did he get that ball down
the crowd let out a sigh.
then the ref went to the video
and the ruling was ---- no try.

Both teams were running rampant
the play ebbed to and fro.
I looked up at the clock
and it showed only five to go.

We just could not cop a break
and after five sets in a row.
Hodkinson threw a dummy
and I let out a scream of Nooooo !

Well that was it the series gone
our record run lies in the bin.
It was still a valiant effort
But the Blues had finally had a win.

They have not had much to cheer about
So I really can’t deny them
this one small piece of happiness
before we crucify them.

Don’t ever write a canetoad off
cause there’s still one game to play.
We will recoup and rise again
to have one final say.

The series may be gone
but I will back this champion side
to claim one final victory
and restore that Queensland pride.

Game three means nothing now Bob, that "restore pride" rubbish they have to say. Most of the NRL clubs and even many of the players, Mooron and Blue, would wish they didn't have to play it. It means nothing.

Only way they could restore interest in the dead rubber is to introduce an aggregate style of scoring for the series, like they do in other sports "best of 3's".

Great stuff Bob. Bitter pill to swallow, but as in all sports it will be forgotten about in a month or two when another sporting moments takes over. Scrappy game, but some good stuff in defence.
Marty, I think your cheap shots at Bob are no better than Smith's. No need for that stuff.

The soccer was great as well!
