Yes good one Maureen, our two grandchildren are coming over to Perth to spend the school holidays with us,
It will be their first visit to WA.
Charlie (7yearsold) wanted to go prospecting with granddad; maybe when he's a bit older and granddads legs are in a bit better shape than they are at the moment..

Re: PEOPLE LONG FORGOTTEN
Terry, just take Charlie into the back yard with the detector. I'm sure there will be gold there
and he will love it! I remember going with my kids' scout group to some part of the bush with detectors and finding all sorts of metal objects and the kids loved it (big ones too!)

Hi Heather,
There's sure to be plenty of fine gold in the back yard because years ago when I used to dolly up our specimens, I'd pan off what I could and throw the rest away. Some years later I saved some of it up and treated it in an amalgum Barrel and got 12 ounces of gold out of it,
I couldn't believe it. I still wonder just how much I must have thrown away before?

There you go then Terry - an adventure in the backyard - just don't mow the grass for a few weeks and young Charlie will think he's in the bush! I'm sure you will have lots of fun.
