Re: A MATE OF MINE CALLED BIll
So sorry to hear that Bill has gone on his final walkabout - he and I enjoyed many a chat over the years and he was an interesting bloke to talk too - a real bushie and a fair dinkum Aussie. I will find some of his old poems and share them up on ARP as well

I may not always succeed in making a difference, but I will go to my grave knowing I at least tried.

Hi Maureen
Like you I had a fair bit to do with Bill and His wife Maureen as well.
We would catch up with them when visiting our daughter in Canberra at that time.
And had continued to keep in touch up until now.
It would be great to see some of Bill's work again including his yarns.
Bill liked to write his poetry in his own unique way.

Thanks Catherine
Always sad when we lose a fellow poet - another good old bloke from the forum some years ago.
I was pleased I was able to have a quiet talk to his wife Maureen, who Val and I both know well.
