Sometimes it's better not to ask

Arthritis

I watched the old man shuffle slowly
into the ice cream parlor store.
His movements were so painful
he appeared so stiff and sore.

Up onto the nearest stool he struggled
the colour from his face did drain.
Five minutes mate it took him
his features ceased with pain.

He settled down onto the stool
and slowly rubbed his foot and knee.
The relief showed on his wrinkled face
such a painful sight to see.

He took a while to catch his breath
and it took some time for him to stir.
The young lady waited patiently
then said "how can I help you sir"?

A Banana split would be just lovely
with lots of luscious cream.
He closed his eyes and settled back
to doze ' perchance to dream.

" Crushed Nuts " the sweet young thing enquired
the old fella never missed a beat
"Oh no he said this pain is from
the arthritis in me feet".

Doctors surgerys are not known for having up to date material.

Doctors surgeries are known as places where you sit in fear of catching what the bloke alongside you has, and only a fool picks up a book that's probably smothered with every disease known to man.

Thank you very much Terry I was feeling a little crook anyway.

Somewhere in the jumble that is my file I have a poem called Sitting In The Surgery which i wrote last year while actually doing the above.

Will see if I can find it and it is a very serious poem so I think you all will be impressed >
