ON A CLEAR DAY - YOU CAN FLY FOREVER

It never ceases to amaze me how people get so cranky with the Airlines when a natural disaster throws schedules into chaos.. What part of natural and disaster do these idiots not understand...they seem to think that the airlines are deliberately cancelling flights just to inconvenience their passengers, rather than perhaps trying to save their 'useless and stupid IMO' lives.
ON A CLEAR DAY – YOU CAN FLY FOREVER
There is a plume of ash and dust above – not good weather to fly
and the airports around the world are closed – and not hard to see why.
It’s a matter of safety and commuters should be glad
that this is airline priority – it’s no use getting mad.
On a clear day with sunshine and bright blue skies overhead,
for the most part schedules are kept and passengers are led
into those metal cylinders that carry them in flight
‘cross the world and all its oceans from daybreak to midnight.
But right now a ring is round the moon, it recently glowed red.
The shining stars are hard to see now when you go to bed.
Is this the day of reckoning? We must just sit and wait
and wonder what more is in store – a time to contemplate.
The earth is just a fragile shell and yet the powers within
can call a halt to mere mortals – she rules o’er everything.
The thread is tenuous but strong – we think we have the key
but we are nothing but a stitch in Mothers tapestry.
So all the world can do is watch – ponder the now warm stone
she spews from portals deep within – her ash on us she’s thrown.
With luck we will see moonshine, catch that first bright morning light
and live to see another day – of calmness and delight.
So don’t let anger fill your soul, be happy you’re alive.
Life is short enough already – don’t become hot wired
inside, burning out circuits and getting into a tizz.
Sing in doorways. There is nothing you can do, what is just is.
